International development organisation, INASP, works with a global network of partners to improve access, production and use of research information and knowledge, in order that developing countries are equipped to solve their development challenges. AuthorAid, a project of INSAP, has announced its first set of travel grants and also workshop grants for 2016.
Grants of $1 500 each will be awarded to 12 people working in eligible developing countries, following a competitive selection process. South Africa is included in the list of eligibale countries. Deadline: 7 February 2016
In addition, 12 grants of $2 500 each are available to experienced researchers or administrators wishing to organise a workshop on a topic related to research communication. Deadline: 21 February 2016.
South African NPOs’ researchers are encouraged to consider applying for grants from AuthorAid as this form of funding is generally not readily available via the majority of donor sources.
