The Resource Alliance has partnered with Enset, the world’s only non-profit provider of .ngo, .ong and .org domains, and the Bandwidth Barn to present two events around effectiveness in the digital space.

 #NGOdigitalspaces and Civil Society: Harnessing the power of the internet and technology to increase the success of nonprofits and social enterprises is a lively, collaborative round-table discussion where experts in the digital field and ‘been there, done that’ nonprofit professionals will explore the issue of civil society and digital spaces from a variety of perspectives: Tuesday, 4 October,  8.30am to 11am at Bandwidth Barn, Woodstock. Topics covered will include:
What is the role of Social Media in building civil society?
How is digital fundraising changing the donor relationship and giving overall?
What are some of the risks and challenges of digital spaces, and what can non-profits
to address these?
What is the political / regulatory environment and implications of a new NPO Act?
What is the future of digital spaces for civil society – opportunities, challenges and
potential threats?
What is the importance of credibility and validation

The NGO Online Effectiveness Workshop, will introduce delegates to the benefits of having an online presence and the basics of setting up and managing a website in order to build awareness and attract support. Presented by Enset’s Jeri Curry and Sarah Scarth on Wednesday, 5 October, 9am to 1pm at Bandwidth Barn, Khayelitisha.
